Since 2005, the annual Housing and HIV/AIDS Research Summit series has provided a unique
interdisciplinary forum to present and discuss research findings
on the relationship between housing status and HIV prevention and care, and
the implications of those findings for public policy.
The theme of the 2011 Summit is Eliminating HIV Health Disparities.
Presentations with a focus on the potential of housing strategies to reduce
health inequities for people living with HIV and prevent new infections. We invite abstracts presenting
results of scientific research, economic analyses, program evaluations,
community-based interventions, and public policy strategies that reflect this
theme.
Of particular interest is work that broadens our understanding of
housing need and interventions among members
of vulnerable
populations and in underserved communities, including displaced persons, rural
areas, and resource-poor settings. International
research is welcome.
